Arch Future the exhibition of art association

Bernabo Brea in the Archaeological Museum of Lipari, will be inaugurated Saturday, July 30, at 19.00, the exhibition entitled "Future Arche". The exhibition, organized by ArteAlta, at the church of St. Catherine, will remain open until September 30, 2011.

In the context of the event there is a tribute to the great archaeologist Luigi Bernabo Brea, on the centenary of his birth. Bernabo Brea, attentive and keen student of the civilizations of the Mediterranean, whose research has exposed an extensive bibliography, has been a pioneer in studies of different cultural facies of the pre Greek.

"Arch Futura" Why this title? It begins with the concluding sentence of a famous aphorism by Karl Kraus, "the source is the goal." The author among the most popular satirists of the German language of the twentieth century, known for his sharp criticism of the culture, society and politics claims that there is no record of the past without an analysis that is not also a construction of this . The goal has always been conceived as the fulfillment of a process, the idea that the origin is the goal, it requires a different concept: the goal is the creation of another beginning.

The apparent reversal of the chronological sequence forcefully poses the problem of the link between the past and the future is no accident that contemporary art (which is always proposed as a link between past and future) that has made his "watchword ".

There are many forms of research were the 'future home': think of the exoticism of the first avant-garde, to the study of children in informal areas (which often sought the decisive primacy of subjects), or essentiality of minimalism. Today, this node becomes problematic at the center of reflection, not only in the arts.

The proposed exhibition entitled "Arché future", conceived and curated by noted critic and architect Joseph Frazzetta Eleanor Cacopardo, intends to offer a fine contribution to the debate through the proposal of works by internationally renowned artists. A name of all that of Emilio Isgrò. Artists, each with its own signature style, we are committed to search through their works, the varied paths that lead (through artistic languages from time to time as the ancient painting, or like-new digital) from origin to destination, which is precisely the same origin.

Not just an exhibition but an art project for the city of Lipari 360 ° will harness some of the paths that the territory offers metaphorical. First you must call to remember the chronological present-future-old. But it is also important to consider the current extreme that today is the island state, especially the 'small islands' or 'smaller islands', as part of a necessary reconsideration of the Mediterranean Sea as a meeting place and growth. The project will therefore take into account the project on behalf of these suggestions so inviting artists to compete with the methods of art and creative metaphors.

Participating artists: Emilio Isgrò. Tomaso Binga, Luca Maria Patella / Pink Foschi, Christmas Platania, Giuseppe Pugliese, Marco Nereo Rotelli, Pietro Zuccaro / Donatella Capraro, Renata Boero, Gianfranco Anastasio, Gianfranco D'Alonso, Marcello Di Donato.

  1. The title chosen for the exhibition, which runs until August 21, "Painting and Photography meet Poetry" is the explanation of the union between the two arts and the meeting with the songs Merini Alda, in homage to Bottari the poet.
